The first WIND meetings happened on Wednesday mornings, which gave the organization its name, even though WIND meetings now take place regularly up to four days a week in several locations. You can attend as many meetings as you find useful.

WIND is a privately run, self-supporting organization whose mission is to provide professionals in job transition multiple, regular opportunities to:

  • Network
  • Sharpen job search skills
  • Stay motivated and focused throughout their searches

New members need only come to a meeting and register then to join. See Meetings for details.

WIND meetings provide

  • Small group networking
  • Job search resources
  • Employment listings
  • Announcements & upcoming events
  • Good News (Members Employed)
  • New member introductions
  • Guest speaker presentations and mini-workshops
  • Job search needs & leads exchange

Other WIND services

  • WIND members can attend low-cost, content-rich small group workshops and take advantage of individual career consulting services offered by WIND's facilitators.
  • WIND's 2000+ member e-mail listservice also provides a great pool of highly skilled, easily accessible talent to employers and recruiters, at no charge to either the employer/recruiter or the candidate.

WIND members can obtain additional fee-based, small group and individual career consulting services offered by WIND's facilitators on a regular basis.

WIND can also benefit employers and recruiters who email or fax job postings to WIND. Hiring or recruiting organizations gain instant access to a large, highly qualified pool of professional candidates, again at no charge. In addition, employers can refer former employees to WIND, thereby offering them a powerful supplement to other job search assistance which may already be in place.
